Responsibilities and duties

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to analyze market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using different success metrics.
  • Develop and oversee social media campaigns to boost engagement and brand awareness.
  • Organize, participate in, and manage promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and prospective clients.
  • Participate in the creation of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, flyers, social media content, blogs, and articles.
  • Manage the company's brand identity and positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, and email marketing.
  • Develop and execute PR strategies to elevate brand awareness, including relationships with media outlets, crafting and disseminating press releases, and engaging with influencers and partners.
  • Generate and qualify leads through online advertising, social media, and email marketing, nurturing them through the sales funnel while tracking and measuring the effectiveness of lead management campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends and customer behavior to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present marketing reports to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and technologies.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network with other professionals and learn about new marketing techniques.

Essential Skill Requirements

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including segmentation, targeting, and positioning
  • Experience with market research and analysis
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g. digital, social, email, events)
  • Knowledge of branding and brand management
  • Experience with content marketing and creation (e.g. blog posts, videos, social media content)
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform marketing decisions
  • Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms
  • Familiarity with mobile money
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools and social media management
